Welcome to my blog. My name is Chrystalla and I am a Fantasy and Science Fiction author. I am Greek Cypriot and I like to write about fantastical creatures, crazy adventures, and family bonds. I live in Cyprus with my husband and my vast herds of books. My short stories can be found in Alienskin magazine, Lorelei Signal, the Shine Journal, Encounters Magazine, and Bards and Sages ezine i.a.  I have published Dioscuri,  a YA Urban Fantasy novella, with MuseItUp Publishing (planning two more novellas set in that world), and I released my YA science fiction novel Rex Rising on Kindle and will release the sequel at the end of February (a third book in the series is in the works, and a novel from the point of view of Kalaes, as well as a Companion to the series are also planned).

Random facts about me:

1. Did NaNoWriMo (a challenge where you write a short novel in a month) for the first time in 2010 and also in 2011 won (i.e. I wrote at least 50 thousand words. Yay!)

2. I speak 5 languages but write mainly in English (used to write in Greek in the past)

3. I love spicy food – Mexican, Indian, Thai…

4. I used to have nightmares with snakes and fish – stop having them since I met my husband, Carlos (don’t ask me what that means in Freudian terms…)

5. I have a tendency to settle down anywhere but at home.

6. I am a professional escapist.
