I AM Alive (Cameron Jace): I am not my heart rate. I am not my skills. I am not how I look like. My name is Decca Tenderstone. I live in a future America where teenagers are ranked on a scale from 1 to 10 on graduation day. There has never been a 10. Those below the rank of 5 are considered Monsters, a liability to society. The system says I am a Monster. I will not let them kill me. I will survive.

Initiation (Katie Salidas): Being a Vampire is a crime punishable by eternal servitude in the arena as a Gladiator of the Iron Gate. Mira, a newly turned vampire, must prove she has what it takes to survive in the human’s world. It’s kill or be killed. Immortality is not guaranteed.

Dissension (Katie Salidas): In the aftermath of the great cataclysm, vampires are enslaved by humans and used for blood sport as gladiators in the arena. Mira is undefeated, uncompromising, and unbreakable, but when an escape attempt leads her into the path of the city’s Regent, her destiny is changed forever.

Finding Hope (Chrystalla Thoma): After the death of the one person he called mother, Elei leaves the Trashlands of Ost for the city – looking for other people and for answers. But he soon finds out that people are complicated and answers hard to come by…

Rex Rising (Chrystalla Thoma): In a world where parasites create new human races, Elei leads a peaceful life as aircar driver — until a mysterious attack on his boss sends him fleeing with a bullet in his side and the fleet at his heels.

Resonant (Alexia Purdy): As the first days of the end of humanity tumble across the City of Las Vegas, turning everyone into vampire-like creatures, April Tate will find out what it really means to survive.

Reign of Blood (Alexia Purdy): April Tate is a seventeen-year-old ferocious vampire killer who lives in the remains of Las Vegas one year after a viral epidemic has left the world decimated. After her family is abducted, her world tilts when she discovers they’re not truly alone.

Released (Megan Duncan): After a demon apocalypse kills everyone they know, 17-year old Abby Phillips, her brother and her friend Max flee their home to travel through the wastelands of America, chasing a radio transmission of a resistance offering shelter. But soon enough Abby and her companions discover what awaits them is much worse they could have ever imagined.

Burning Bridges (Nadège K. Richards): In a world divided between Hunters and Warriors, where prisoners are forced to fight in the arena until death, young Princess Echo must fight to find out who she really is and to put a world that has been swallowed by lies back together again

Justin Parker and Derrick Wilson have been the best of friends since meeting back in middle school. Both of them are now in their junior year at Chandler High School, and are living the good life as teenagers. They have great girlfriends, plenty of close friends, their own cars, and parents who are well off. As nice as things might look to an outsider, something is missing from both of their lives.

Justin has become the invisible son in the midst of his parents failing marriage. In an effort to get his parent’s attention, Justin keeps getting into trouble. So far he has been able to get away with anything without facing any repercussions, while Derrick is feeling distant and tired of what he feels is a too “perfect family”. He just wants to have a normal social life and spend time with his friends without the pressures from his family to spend time with them.

Beyond individual family dilemmas, Justin and Derrick both have felt for quite some time something was missing from each of their lives. Now these two best friends blurred the lines of friendship in the process to discover what has been missing from their lives and who they really are.

What happens when two best friends cross the boundaries of friendship? Will they able to be happy together? Will they keep their secret from their friends? Will they be able to hide their relationship from their parents?

Justin and Derrick both take turns narrating the story of their junior year in high school and all of the events that take place in each of their lives. Being a teenager can be tough. Being gay can be tougher. For Derrick and Justin they are both, and life can’t get any more complicated.

New release: Rex Aftermath (Book 4 of Elei’s Chronicles)

Rex Aftermath (Book 4 of Elei’s Chronicles) is finally here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*dances*

Dakru4_Banner_launch_smaller

I know, I know I have made you wait way too long for this book. What with writing a non-fiction book about dragons, then life going off the rails (deaths in the family, moving house) and getting sidetracked by a fantasy series (Boreal and John Grey), I delayed the writing of Rex Aftermath.

Well, it’s here now!! I do hope you will enjoy Elei’s and his friends’ new adventures…

As a thank you for your patience, I have set the book at a mere 99c for a few days, so hurry up and snap a copy before I raise the price. Thank you for waiting, thank you for asking after my heroes, and thank you for joining in the adventure!!!

Blurb:

There is war on the Seven Islands. Elei and his friends have unlocked the weapons held underground, but the Gultur regime is not so easily put down. Mantis and his ragtag army of kids need all the help they can get. Elei, Kalaes and Alendra return to Artemisia to create a diversion, while Hera, Sacmis and Mantis attack Dakru City, in a final attempt to bring peace. But with a net of betrayal closing around them and Rex set against Regina in a final confrontation, the price might prove too heavy.

ELEI_4_medium

At this point, the book is only available of Amazon, but should go live on Barnes and Noble, Kobo and Itunes within the week.

And a teaser for you….

“Down!” Kalaes shouted and Elei dived to the ground before the echo of the word had faded, trusting Kalaes and Alendra to do the same.

Bullets zipped overhead before the rat-a-tat-tat of machine guns burst through the quiet, pressing into Elei’s eardrums like a drill.

The bullets had barely stopped flying when he was back on his feet and running. Who had betrayed them? Iliathan? Or Dain? He bent, grabbed Alendra’s arm, glanced at Kalaes who was scrambling up, and took off again.

“What…?” Alendra panted. “How?”

Exactly his thoughts.

“Follow me,” Kalaes said and veered into an alley.

“Sure?” Alleys were sometimes dead-ends.

Alendra stumbled, dragging Elei down. He steadied her with an arm around her waist and she leaned into him, her body shaking.

“I know my city,” Kalaes grunted and turned, grabbed Alendra’s other arm, and nodded at Elei.

Together they lifted her to her feet and set off running. They ran as if the hounds of the fifth hell were snapping at their heels, down the alley and into a covered passage, then out into an avenue and into another alley, back out and into a broad street with shops, then another alley, and Kalaes slowed until they came to a staggering halt.

Alendra slid to her knees, then all fours, panting, a bright outline with a beating heart.

Elei stayed on his feet although his legs trembled, trying to listen above the rushing in his ears. The alley pulsed with colors. Rex swept it over and over, picking up organic residues in the trash that danced in the rising wind. It had to be cold, but Elei couldn’t feel it, his body vibrating with tension.

No, no sound other that their harsh breathing. Had they shaken off their pursuers? Kalaes unslung his gun and turned in a circle, then gestured at the busy street beyond. “We need to cross into the seaside quarters. The festival of Helios has started. There will be crowds to get lost in.”

Festival. Elei blinked, dazed. Somewhere, somehow, people went on with their lives, ignorant of the rising undercurrents until they were ripped away.

In Elei’s experience, sooner or later everyone was.

Another sound penetrated the fog filling his head, and his heart jolted in his chest. Helices whirring. They had sent helicopters, after all. Rex sent another pang through his heart, heightening his senses until every smell, every sound and color was painfully clear.

Yeah, yeah. Sorry I doubted you.

Elei scanned the alley. No time to cross the street, lose themselves in the crowd. Too late. Yeah, some things never changed.

The buzzing rose to a crescendo, subsonic waves making the windows of the buildings vibrate, his teeth ache.

A round shape set in the street caught his eye, flaring a cold blue in his tainted eye: metal. A sewer lid.

He grabbed Alendra’s hand, hauled her up in one movement, lurched sideways and clasped Kalaes’s arm, spun them around.

“What are you doing?” Kalaes resisted. “We should run.”

“No time.” Elei dragged them to the sewer entrance, let them go and dropped to his knees, working to get the lid off.

After a frustratingly long moment, the other two came to help. They pried the lid off with fingers and nails, until it rose off its rusty frame with a creak.

And not a moment too soon. Something smashed into the wall behind Alendra and she gasped, her face going white.

Bullets. Damn.

“Get down there, quickly,” Elei said, rolling the lid off, setting it aside and drawing his Rasmus. “I’ll cover you.”

Alendra didn’t argue, thank all the gods, just turned and grabbed the rail of a moldy ladder, descending into the darkness below.

“You next,” Kalaes barked, reaching for Elei as if to grab and throw him down the vent. Then he jerked as bullet smashed into a wall. A second later, plaster and concrete rained over them. Kalaes hunched over. “Shit.”

“Kal?”

“I’m okay.” But his jacket gaped open, allowing a glimpse of bright red blood spreading on his t-shirt.

Hells. Fear left Elei gasping. “Dammit, Kal.” The pulsing colors were blinding, the fresh blood on Kalaes’ shirt flickering like a beacon. More bullets zipped past his ear, and his mind blanked, leaving one thought running in a loop: get Kalaes to safety. “Go, now! I’m right behind you.”

A hesitation, but the expected comeback didn’t come. Kalaes nodded and lowered himself inside the vent, his wide shoulders barely fitting, his silence throwing Elei even more off-balance until his heart boomed fit to break out of his ribcage. Just how badly was Kalaes hurt?

Wind currents ripped around him, tearing his jacket open. His hair whipped Elei’s face as he laid the lid aside and glanced into the sewer, seeing Kalaes’ head vanish in the dimness.

Bullets sprayed, hitting the asphalt and sending the lid skittering away with a screech. Elei snatched at it and missed. Screw it, he’d have to leave the vent uncovered. He turned to the gaping hole, bent to lower his legs inside—

Something slammed into his back, throwing him face down on the asphalted street. He writhed, unable to breathe. Darkness rose in a glittering wave and pulled him under.

Chrys: Hi and welcome to my blog! Why don’t you tell us a few words about yourself first?

Kia: Hi guys, I’m Kia, a Dutch girl studying in the UK. I like writing, reading, learning languages and gaming. I spend most of my time either listening/watching Japanese bands or playing videogames. That is if I’m not reading or writing.

Chrys: What genre(s) do you write and why?

Kia: Most of the things I write would be considered to be the young adult range, though my upcoming releases are more college age range than high school range like Black Sheep. Another recurring theme/genre is that my books have gay protagonists, all dealing with different things.

Why? Hmm, I guess because it interests me, I like to read books like that so I write them. Much more reason I don’t need to start a project.

Chrys: What can you tell us about your writing projects and recent releases?

Kia: Right now I’m writing a story for later this year which is a sort of vampire romance. Though the vampire element isn’t too big in the part I’m writing at his moment. I’m having a lot of fun with it since I can just be silly with it. It doesn’t have a title yet sadly enough.

This is only the second book in the Black Sheep Trilogy so the next release coming up will be the third and last book.

Chrys: Tell us about your latest release (could include blurb, small excerpt like 200 words).

FCB2 400px

Kia: Black Sheep: Loving in the Present takes off where Letting go of the Past ended, with Vic in the hospital and Jack has just been told about Vic’s past. A lot of the story breaks in different parts here. Vic has to go back to a mental hospital, Jack gets kicked out of his house and Adam seems to have hidden something from everyone.

The story takes us through all the struggles that the guys go through to get healthy and happy. But as they are celebrating Tom’s birthday there seem to be more secrets going around than everyone thought and Vic runs off. Angry. He then seeks help in a place he shouldn’t, in the end not just putting himself but also Jack in danger.

Chrys: What gave you the idea for this book?

Kia: There isn’t one specific idea that sparked the Black Sheep Trilogy but as I had started it I kept writing it because I was curious what would happen next. This second book is where my ideas actually started. The last chapter I had originally planned for this second book was the first thing I wrote for Black Sheep. The chapter is no longer in the story but I did add it to the book as a little extra thing.

Chrys: What is special about this book – what sets it apart?

Kia: I think the thing that sets apart of other books within the genre is that it doesn’t just deal with Vic and his problems but also largely deals with how his problems affect the people around him. I wanted to write not just from the perspective of someone who is depressed and trying to recover from an abusive relationship but also how his friends and family not only deal with the situation but how it influences their own lives.

Chrys: Do you have a favorite scene in the book?

Kia: Ooh, good question. I do have one though it’s a bit of a creepy one. One of the earlier chapters in Loving in the Present deals with how Vic experiences his self harming and the scene always stands out to me and creeps even me out when I read it because it’s conflicted and slightly twisted but it makes total sense to Vic.

Chrys: What kind of research did you do for this story?

Kia: I read a lot of books about things like depressions. I watched movies. But most of all I listened to people online. People who shared their stories or were trying to get through things. The things that most influenced me while writing Black Sheep were simply people who shared their experiences.

Chrys: Where can people learn more about you and your writing?

Kia: Search me. Naaaah, I’ll help you out. You can find me on twitter, I have a fanpage on facebook and of course my website.

Book blurb and links for Black Sheep: Loving in the present (Book 2):

Vic has taken a turn for the worse and is back in the psychiatric hospital. Jack gets kicked out of his house when his parents find out that he is gay. The reason Adam is not getting better is revealed. And that is just the beginning.

Everybody is lost and trying to not let it spiral out of control. Jack moves in with Vic’s family, making it his temporary home until he can move in with his brother and sister. Vic’s health doesn’t improve until he hears about Adam, at which point he put his mind to getting better. Adam on the other hand is fighting his own feelings about Vic’s illness and questions their friendship.

When Vic and Jack visit Adam and Tom for Tom’s birthday, it seems like a great way to let loose, but Vic is hiding more secrets than anyone knew and when they are exposed the situation explodes. Vic storms off in anger and seeks solace in dangerous places and, unknowingly, putting not just himself, but Jack too at risk.

Book excerpt:

“Anne, I’m scared.” Adam’s voice wakes me from my light slumber. He is standing in the doorway, his pale skin and tiny frame illuminated by the light from the hallway.

I move aside and hold the blanket up so he can join me in the bed. He is shaking violently, clutching me hard. I wrap my arms around him. He has gotten so thin, so very thin. I can feel every bone under his skin. Vic said that he’s lost weight but I didn’t realize it was this bad. The clothes usually cover up everything pretty well but in just sweats and a t-shirt there is nothing to hide his skinny frame. I’m not sure how long he has been out from under the blankets but he is freezing cold.

“What is going on? What are you so scared of?” I move my hands up and down his back, trying to warm him up. Every bump on his spine is poking out.

“I… I’m scared he won’t want to get better this time. Even with Jack around he saw no reason to keep on living. Why would he get better there if even Jack can’t stop him from tying to kill himself?”

“I don’t know,” I whisper, my heart sad. “We have to try. We have to trust they can help him this time.”

“I’m not even sure I trust them anymore. I don’t know, I’m so confused.” Adam sighs deep, his breath tickling my neck. I hold him in my arms, hoping to warm him, but every bit of heat seems to be leaving him immediately. I look at the clock. It’s just past three.

“I don’t know either, but there is no use thinking about it right now. Try to go back to sleep, okay?” I kiss the top of his head as I feel myself drifting off at the familiarity of holding Adam like this, good memories of our childhood enough to bring me back to sleep quickly.

Guest Author post: Kia Zi Shiru

Today I have a guest – Young Adult fiction author Kia Zi Shiru, whose first book “Black Sheep: Letting go of the Past” has just been published. I’ve known Kia from my critique group and she has been working on this story for a while – it promises to be great!

BS1BTbanner

So, without further ado, I’m giving the floor to Kia to tell us about her book, her writing and herself…

Thank you Chrystalla for hosting the first day of my blog tour, I really appreciate it. My first novella Black Sheep: Letting go of the Past has been hitting the e-stores in the past few days just so I would be sure it would be available at midnight on the 12th (we’ll see how that works by the time this post goes live).

The first novella in the Black Sheep trilogy starts in the first week after the Christmas break, a time of change and new beginnings. Vic is only hoping to keep the friendship of his best friend and make the best of the new year. His best friend, Jack, has other ideas.

FCB1 400px

Some of this change of Jack reflects how I’ve always changed my look when I was back in high school, whether it was short hair, army boots or leather jackets. For me the Christmas break always has seemed like a good moment to change your appearance. You’re a couple months into the new year with your class and they have gotten used to you a certain way. I’ve always liked changing when people got too used to my looks.

Which is what Jack did. Having met Vic only at the start of the school year he has always loved the guy’s look and over Christmas changed his own style. Which changes the dynamic between the two guys dramatically. No longer Vic is the only goth guy in the class and Jack is no longer the soft looking guy Vic met at the start. Jack is starting to dress in styles that Vic has trouble resisting which of course leads to interesting situations.

Over all, I don’t often describe in detail what someone looks like because I like to keep that up to the reader. Though I always try to give clues. I don’t think I need to describe in detail how someone looks. I, myself, don’t usually care that someone is five feet or 1.70 meters or something like that because it sometimes makes it hard to remember how tall they are and by using one or the other way (feet or meters) I’m going to alienate readers. What I do like to know if someone is taller or shorter than the narrator at that moment. Which makes it easier to imagine how they would look making out (or you know, if they’re just standing next to each other talking).

Vic and Jack are around the same height, during the story you run into some characters that are taller (like Tom and Jo) and some are shorter (like Adam). But while Vic and Jack sport a goth look Adam has changed his look over time (from long hair to short colourful hair) and Tom has nothing goth-like.

I liked putting in different styles of people, even though the main characters (Vic and Jack) are both goths. I think that by not making all of them comply to the angsty goth stereotype that you sometimes run into in books and having multiple styles in looks makes it easier to connect with the characters, even if they aren’t the main characters.

If I did well, or if it works? You can check it out for yourself by reading Black Sheep: Letting go of the Past.

A great new Young Adult novel: INCOMING ALERT by Arlene Webb

As you may have noticed in your perusal of my humble blog, I have now added a new page called “Favorite Books”. There I will be listing… my favorite books, yes, exactly. 😀  And Incoming Alert is one of them.

I honestly loved this book so much. The characters are quirky and funny, but also deep and well crafted, and so very real. The originality of the world Arlene Webb has created is amazing, and the interactions of the characters well realized. I highly recommend this book, and not just to lovers of Young Adult fiction. In fact, the book has some mature themes as well and would appeal to all audiences over 16.

How Not to Celebrate your Century Birthday:
Tell overprotective parents you’ll be fine.
Phase to a parallel dimension to amuse yourself with humans and choose a name.
Arrive flat on your face.
Learn you’re unique among immortals, and not in a good way.Hello, Earth. Boy’s victory dance on top of a cafeteria table
doesn’t last long.
She’s looking at me? Seriously? Jubilation vanishes when he realizes the young woman gawking at his trembling two-inch form–which should be invisible–is as frightened as him.
Major screw up that he is, he ignores everything he’s been told about survival and shifts
larger without first refilling his phase-depleted veins.
Then comes the icing on what’s sure to be his last birthday cake. After denying
he’s crawled out of the meatloaf, he bonds with the mortal. Not only is he
drawn to a first century name that guarantees anger and ridicule, it’s doubtful
he’ll survive this birthday, let alone celebrate another.Incoming Alert is a science-fiction adventure novel for general audience, but
contains violence and adult themes.
No vampires, weres, zombies, fey, or previously known supernaturals were used
or otherwise harmed in the making of this novel.

Purchase link:
I have hard word from the author that a sequel is in the works, so keeping my fingers crossed it will be out soon, because I can’t wait to spend more time with these great characters. 🙂
What reviewers on Amazon have said about Incoming Alert:
“This is such a fun book to read. The lead character, Caron, leaps off the page with his exhuberance and innocence. Ms Webb has created a cast of unforgettable characters…”
“A book filled with sparkling humor, funny encounters, fascinating characters, of the human and Ron-kind, it also plumbs the depths of human nature, desire, and despair.”
About the author:
“Sci-fi, paranormal, thriller-mystery, indefinable, I’m an author who adds sweet and spicy layers of romance to any genre.”
Published with MuseItUp Publishing and Decadent Publishing, Arlene has many novels and short stories under her belt. When not writing, she runs family-owned greenhouses and florist shops in New York.
Excerpt from INCOMING ALERT:
Caron swallowed hard. Dad was taking this “grow Up” thing damn seriously, but most of all, he wanted him to forget Lissa, forget Earth, forget becoming man-sized, and come home a failure? I love you Dad, but I just can’t do that. He tossed his braids back and traded fear for his most cheeky grin. “Ahh, father mine whose wisdom I honor, don’t treat me like I’m still in my eighties. If you didn’t coddle me, maybe I would mature.” He allowed his own Lissa-flavored tears to splatter. “Call me Boy for another century if you wish, but trust me not to disappoint you. Give me forty-eight hours to care for this human’s problems. I swear, I think I can do this. But, Dad? Why do I need to get tall? Not sure I want to phase so humongous I need to drink an elephant. Is there a zoo near here?”

Ask him. Spit it out. Very important detail. “Um, all parts of me will grow, right? Not that I plan to…er…do anything, but it’d really suck to be unronned, so to speak.”

Airon slapped his knee. He glanced at Lissa. “His naiveté would make a newborn shudder. You see why I fear for him?”

The heat crept from his face into his neck. Caron examined his toes.

Airon barked, “Look at me.”

Caron snapped his chin up. That dark scowl froze him in place.

“No predator can survive in this dimension if you’re visible for prey to crush under their foot. This isn’t IF where everyron loves you. The monsters here are real.”

He shrugged. Time to either hunt elephant or go to that whatever in the oblivion. He smiled, eyebrows cocked. “After I find a pleasant fiend to slurp, will you do something to get the wings rolling? Don’t tell me De can fly big as a man, too. Hey, Venge was shorter than you. You’re over six foot? I bet I can top that loser.”

Airon jumped to his feet. “This isn’t a game, you insolent fool.”

Furious father alert. Get a phase on!

Airon stomped through glass and started to reach down for Caron.

“Don’t. I can do this. Better stand back so I don’t topple over you, right, Dad?”

Dread, worry and so much love filled those dark eyes above him, he closed his own. He knew he could grow—Up—at least six inches…Oh wait, sweet. He already was six inches.

Stretch. Expand. Enlarge. He watched the pretend ruler behind his eyelids. Molecules wanted to lock at seven inches, but he pushed to eight—ten, a foot.

Like climbing a forbidden blood-drain at home, he forced aching muscles onward. It hurt. Should it hurt? Who cared? I care, keep growing.

Interesting, four feet. Maybe he should stop. His skin had to be ripping, peeling from his flesh, instead of expanding. His bones, all two hundred and six, or eight, or whatever, vibrated. Damn, his balls had to weigh a ton apiece. Didn’t someron boring from Beginner Psych say short males were scorned on Earth? If he found a female here his age, she’d never want to dally with a Napoleon-complexed dude.

Five foot! Enough? But Dad said he’d know. It’d feel like reaching a cliff or something? If he stopped, asked, drained a whale whose balls really did weigh a half ton a piece—snicker, a ton a whale, he’d learned that tidbit in Fun Biology—then tried to phase taller, would Dad strangle him? Yep, no doubt.

Five feet, ten inches and—ohhh, his heart, lungs, internal organs no longer throbbed, they howled. He locked and fastened at five feet, eleven and a half inches.

He snapped his eyes open.

Crap. What good were long legs if they didn’t work?

New Release (free!): Mantis (a short story set in the world of Rex Rising)

Sorry I haven’t been around, but I’ve been busy preparing the third book in the series of Elei’s Chronicles, entitled “Rex Equilibrium” which will be out after the first week of November. 🙂

Meanwhile, I’ve decided to publish a short story set in the world of Rex Rising, just to whet your appetite (but also to give you some background information on a character appearing in book 3).

Those of you who have read “Hera” (for free on amazon  AND Smashwords), I’m sure you remember her encounter with a boy called Mantis. Since Mantis will make an appearance in Book 3, I’ve decided to tell you the story of how he came to be who he is… And how he met another of our heroes long before the events in Rex Rising.

I have put “Mantis” for free on Smashwords, and hope to get Amazon to make it free too. But for now, here it is:

MANTIS

Summary:

Before the events in Rex Rising, before Elei met Kalaes and Hera, another boy reached the island of Dakru, and this one was filled with rage. Because the regime took everything from him and he’d make them pay. This is the story of Mantis (whom you will meet in Rex Equilibrium, Book 3 of Elei’s Chronicles, coming out next month).

Grab a copy, and get ready for book 3. 🙂 Happy Reading!

Quick announcement: Rex Rising on sale for a few days!

For the release of Rex Cresting (Book 2 of Elei’s Chronicles), I have decided to put Rex Rising (Book 1 of the series) at 99c for a couple of days.

In celebration.

So, if you haven’t already, grab a copy and get ready for book 2. 🙂

Happy Reading! 🙂

Rex Cresting (Book 2 of Elei’s Chronicles) is out now!

So, after many delays and much ado, here is the sequel to Rex Rising:

REX CRESTING (BOOK TWO OF ELEI’S CHRONICLES)

Still recovering at a hospital on the north coast of Dakru, Elei is convinced that his part in bringing down the Gultur is over. Rex has infected the other race and their dictatorial system is starting to collapse. Not every Gultur, though, has been affected, and on top of that, inside Elei’s body, Rex has matured and goes through another transformation. Elei isn’t sure he can survive Rex’s new strength — but that may prove the last of his worries as the Gultur descend on him again.

So I am glad I more or less made the third of my deadlines (first it was Xmas 2011, then end February 2012, then first week of March 2012)! 🙂 I will write more about this experience and the series and everything on another day.

Let me only add that Rex Rising (Book 1 in the series) is free today and tomorrow, in case you haven’t got it yet.
